Agreement in Principle for new MRFA Collective Agreement
An Agreement in Principle for a new Collective Agreement between Mount Royal and the Mount Royal Faculty Association (MRFA) has been reached. Details will be finalized in the coming weeks, with ratification votes by MRFA membership and the Board of Governors expected in early March.

Want to be part of Lightning Talks or MRU Book Showcase?
As part of Research and Scholarship Days, the Faculty Lightning Talks are back. If you want to make a five-minute presentation, please complete the expression of interest by Friday, Feb. 22. Faculty can also share their recently published books (May 2018 to present) at the MRU Book Showcase by submitting expressions of interest by Fri., Feb. 22.
Nominate a deserving student for a SAMRU award
The SAMRU awards recognize students who have contributed to the campus community in ways that inspire and enhance the lives of their fellow Mount Royal students. The deadline to apply is Thurs., Feb. 28.
Donate unused clothing and accessories to the Pride Centre
Finding clothing to match one's preferred gender expression at a low cost can be hard. In February, SAMRU is collecting items at its office (Z222) to give away on March 5 and 6 in Wyckham House. Unclaimed donations will go to the Women in Need Society.
Undergraduate Research Dissemination Fund applications open
Until midnight on Fri., March 1, ROMEO will accept applications for the 2019 Undergraduate Research Dissemination Fund opportunity. Find more information under Internal funding opportunities online.

The presentation made by Connie Young, associate vice-president Finance and Risk Management and Evan Cortens, manager Academic Initiatives can be viewed or downloaded by logging into MyMRU and going to the top left corner of the Financial Matters page.
Introducing safety app, MRU Now
Connect to Security Services, access Safe Walk and Work Alone, and report a safety risk or emergency on this app. MRU Now notifies subscribers of time-sensitive events, like power outages or emergencies. Download it from iTunes or Google Play, and enable notifications.

New cybersecurity hub and ways to protect your accounts
Visit the new website mru.ca/cybersecurity to determine if an email is malicious, a web page is safe or your password is effective. Also, block access if someone tries to log in as you with these Google prompts. Email or call 6329 for help.

Getting approval to travel off campus, including international and conference travel, has been streamlined. The new forms and an FAQ resource are available here.

Environmental Health and Safety provides an Ergonomic Self-Assessment Checklist. Using the checklist, you can identify and make simple adjustments to your workstation.
