Mandatory safety training reminder

All full- and part-time employees are required by provincial legislation to complete mandatory safety training. Anyone who missed the June 30 deadline is reminded to take the training as soon as possible. Follow these instructions to access the 15-minute orientation on Blackboard.

Good Food Boxes return to SAMRU
Available for both staff and students, the Good Food Box allows you to purchase fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables at an affordable cost. Order dates are Sept. 25, Oct. 23 and Nov. 20, and must be placed at SAMRU reception before 4 p.m. Payment is cash only.


Tour the Simulation Learning Centre
Health-care simulation teaches new skills, refreshes old skills and improves the delivery of safe and effective patient care. MRU employees are invited to tour the Simulation Learning Centre (W223) on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as part of Health Care Simulation Week.

Start of semester emails, with option for distribution list sign-up

As each semester begins (Aug./Sept. and Dec./Jan.), areas with ongoing employee activities can send an email to all employees describing their semester activities. Employees can then choose to opt in to that area's distribution list (Google Group) for regular updates. If you would like to send an email and/or set up a Google Group for your area, please contact Marketing and Communications for guidelines.
