Now in its seventh year, the InterVin International Wine Awards has become the authority for celebrating great wines made in Canada and abroad.

Our panel includes qualified and internationally respected experts with backgrounds in hospitality, media, education and winemaking. Returning judges include Marlize Beyers, Jay Johnston and Daenna Van Mulligen.

InterVin results are broadcast extensively via national print media, influential websites and significant event exposure. Our competition is the only awards program that promotes its winning wines and wineries in an extensive national multimedia campaign.

“InterVin judges delight in discovering the best wines available so we can share the results with wine lovers across the country,” says Christopher Waters, editor of VINES Magazine and head judge of the InterVin International Wine Awards.

Entries are now being accepted. Judging takes place August 12-14 at White Oaks Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Online entries close Friday, July 24.

The top-scoring wines will be announced starting in September, with the release of our Best Value list of wines that retail for $15 or less. Silver and gold medal winners are revealed in October via press releases and in a special InterVin Awards issue of VINES Magazine, which also spotlights the Top 15 Wineries of the Year and other significant results. Award winners will also be promoted throughout the expanding Sun Media network in November as a preview to the InterVin showcase at the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo in Toronto.
