The InterVin International Wine Awards Competition is delighted to introduce its judges for 2016. The 21-member committee brings together expert tasters with different perspectives to ensure that only the very best wines strike gold during three days of blind tasting August 10-12 at White Oaks Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
InterVin’s approach is unique, bringing together sommeliers, media, educators and winemakers who boast impeccable credentials and a wealth of experience. Each panel of three brings together wine professionals from different backgrounds to ensure that every sample is evaluated with the utmost scrutiny and without any personal bias. The top-scoring wines are brought before all of the tasters to determine the competition’s best bottles and top wineries.
Wine Writer Rod Phillips from the Ottawa Citizen, David Paterson from Tantalus Vineyards, and instructor at Niagara College Jennifer Wilhem are judging in this year’s competition, adding to the unparalleled team of professionals charged with identifying exceptional wines that truly stand out from the crowd. Meet all of our judges here.
