Flags at half-mast

In recognition of the tremendous loss experienced by the University of Alberta, the Canadian post-secondary community and the country as a whole, our flags are at half-mast until sunset on Friday. We extend our deepest condolences to those affected by the crash of Flight PS752 in Iran.

Fire drill on Jan. 21
On Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m., Mount Royal University will hold a practice fire drill that is expected to take about 20 minutes. This drill will include an evacuation of all Lincoln Park campus buildings, except Residence. It is mandatory for everyone to participate. Learn more about fire drills at Mount Royal. Deadline for Alumni Achievement Awards is Jan. 17
Do you know of an excellent alumna/us who should be recognized for their achievements? Do you know of a student who is deserving of the $5,000 Outstanding Future Alumni Award? Nominate them today! The last day to nominate is Jan. 17.

Crowchild Classic tickets on sale
Tickets are now on sale for the annual Crowchild Classic, set to take place on Jan. 30 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Each person may purchase up to eight tickets at a cost of $5 each. Use the promo code Cougars. There will be no tickets available at the door.

ORSCE's Internal Research Grant Fund opportunity now in ROMEO
The Office of Research, Scholarship and Community Engagement has announced its Internal Research Grant Fund (IRGF) opportunity to be open and accepting applications via ROMEO. The IRGF is the main source of internal funds available to eligible faculty at MRU. Check your eligibility in the Program Guidelines and Instructions. The deadline is Jan. 17.

IES Research Grant Fund
The Institute for Environmental Sustainability's (IES) Research Grant opportunity is now open in ROMEO. See the IES guidelines for details. The deadline is Jan. 24.
