Push for revised rent control in Ontario
The controversial topic of rent control in Ontario is back in the news after two Toronto City councillors voiced concerns about what they are calling “unethical” rent hikes across the GTA. Councillor Josh Matlow and Councillor Ana Bailão announced that they will be holding a special meeting of the Tenants Issues and Affordable Housing committees this April for a review of the Residential Tenancies Act.
