Mount Royal will host CACUSS in 2019
Mount Royal is excited to host the 2019 Canadian Association of College and University Student Services (CACUSS) annual conference. It will be called MOH-KINS-TSIS (the traditional Blackfoot word for "elbow") because Calgary is located on the sharp bend where the Elbow River and Bow River meet. Learn more here.

Upgrade to Basic Cybersecurity Security Awareness Training
This optional training, available on Blackboard, is being upgraded with interactive modules and new content. The current course will expire at the beginning of August, so to retain your progress please finish before then. Prostate Cancer Centre's MAN VAN™ coming to campus Aug. 23

EH&S, HR and Wellness Services are sponsoring the MAN VAN visiting campus on Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Gate. If you're male, over 40 and haven't been screened for prostate cancer, you can stop by for a 5-minute check of a blood sample. No appointment is necessary.

Nursing professors take top honours for poster presentation
In June 2018, Professors Robert Catena and Heather MacLean from the Bachelor of Nursing program won first place in the Education category for their poster "Does Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice (RCDP) Support Student Nurse Learning During a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation High Fidelity Simulation?" at the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation & Learning Conference, held in Toronto. Professors in Bissett's International Business program recognized
Frank Cotae and Jacqueline Musabende received the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE) Award for the Best Paper on International Business Education. CUIBE is part of the Academy of International Business (AIB), the highest global forum for research in teaching and theory in international business. This is the first time an undergraduate-focused university was nominated and received this award. Read more.

Start of semester emails, with option for distribution list sign-up

As each semester begins (Aug./Sept. and Dec./Jan.), areas with ongoing employee activities can send an email to all employees describing their semester activities. Employees can then choose to opt in to that area's distribution list (Google Group) for regular updates. If you would like to send an email and/or set up a Google Group for your area, please contact Marketing and Communications for guidelines.
