The New Horizons in Responsible Gambling Conference has become one of the most highly regarded conferences of its kind in the world, serving as a truly global gathering of the industry’s top specialists and innovators.

Over two and a half days, the 2016 conference will bring together academics, community and industry leaders in responsible gambling research and policy to hear from industry professionals from across the globe. Tremendous developments continue to be made in responsible gambling practices around the world and New Horizons provides an opportunity to meet with others and share best practice, innovations and network in an industry specific environment.

FAQs

How do I qualify for the student rate?

In order to qualify students must present valid student ID at the time of registration at the conference in February.

What is the refund policy?

Any request for cancellation MUST be submitted in writing to horizonsrg@bclc.com.

A refund of 75% may be granted for cancellation requests received before January 1, 2016. No refunds will be made for cancellations after that date. Participants may be allowed to designate an alternate from the same organization to attend in their place. Refunds will be made after the conference unless BCLC, acting at its sole discretion, decides to issue refunds earlier.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, but only to individuals from the same organization. Once you have registered you can manage your order, change the delegate name and update any contact details directly on the EventBrite registration site.

I’m bringing my spouse/partner with me to Vancouver but not to attend the conference. Can they attend social events?

If you wish to bring your spouse/partner to the networking receptions, you may purchase a Conference Companion Pass at the registration desk, in person, for $50 +tax. Each Conference Companion Pass includes access to both networking receptions.

What is included in the registration fee?

Your registration fees include:

  • Welcome Reception and Networking Reception
  • Full conference access on both days
  • Two breakfasts and luncheons, and all refreshment breaks
  • Conference materials and delegate bag
