In today's online world, everyone is encouraged to share other people's works freely - Share this!. All it takes is a right click and you can take anything. Usually this practice does not get us into trouble, but what about when we use other people's works in our assignments, in our portfolios, at conferences, and what happens when we graduate and go online on behalf of our employers?

Students need to understand how copyright affect them in their school work right now, and professionally once they graduate. In this workshop, Alana Zanbilowicz, MRU Copyright Advisor, will take students through a broad overview of their rights and obligations under the Copyright Act to help them feel confident when using images, text, video, and other works.
