FMs increasingly involved with decision-making

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

According to a report by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the roles of facility management (FM) and real estate professionals have become increasingly important in high-level strategic workplace decisions, with FM and real estate managers identified 30 per cent of the time, only slightly less than senior executives (38 per cent).

The results of the survey can be found in IFMA’s latest workplace strategy report, “Distributed Work Revisited.” The report includes the results of a major survey conducted across industry types in Canada and the United States.

Along with the full results of the distributed work survey, the report includes case studies from organizations that use distributed work strategies to great success, such as eBay, Accenture and Microsoft, among others. The report also includes guidance to help FM professionals use distributed work strategies effectively.

The complete report can be purchased online at https://www.ifma.org/marketplace/store/product-view/distributed-work-revisited.
