This interdisciplinary program focuses on social innovation education appropriate to the complex and profound nature of the challenges we face locally and globally, providing thought leadership on questions of community prosperity, sustainability, citizenship and ethics.

A Future in Social InnovationA concentration in Social Innovation enables students to pursue their passion, whether that means starting their own social enterprise, or leading social initiatives from within existing organizations. An incredibly versatile program, Social Innovation can be applied all over the world, in every sector imaginable.

Social Innovation offers many career opportunities:

Values-Driven Management - Organizing initiatives and the people who support them at a local, national and international level to create social change.

Corporate Social Responsibility Management - Developing human rights programs, environmental programs, social responsibility programs as well as creating closer community connections within the corporate sector.

Community Support Coordinator - Building close connections with families and communities. Providing families and communities with access resources such as education, food, shelter, care and play opportunities and health services.

Marketing and Fundraising Management - Developing and executing marketing strategies as well as creating fundraising strategies that target existing and potential donors.

Student ClubsEnactus Mount Royal is a chapter of an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable programs for themselves and their communities. Students are provided the opportunity to participate in unique experiential learning opportunities that can significantly set them apart from the average undergraduate student. At the end of each academic year, Enactus teams from around the world compete in Regional, National, and Global Expositions to showcase how their projects and innovations transform lives and enable progress through entrepreneurial action.

Co-operative EducationThe Academic Plan of Mount Royal stresses the importance of experiential education in all academic curricula. Accordingly, students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program are provided with the opportunity to pursue their degree as a Co-operative education. Students who successfully complete three co-op work terms will be eligible for a notation both on their transcript and their parchment. Further Education
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) prepares you for graduate studies, including Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs and Master of Social Innovation (MSI).
