The Basic Pediatric SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners) Training includes: three (3) days or (20.25) hours of classroom training, fourteen (14) hours online training delivered through the University of California, Davis (UCD) Extension Program, and six (6) hours of online training by watching 2.20 hours of webinars and 3.37 hours of videos produced by CCFMTC. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a CCFMTC Certificate of Completion and a California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Certificate for a total of 40.25 contact hours. Classroom training covers patient history taking, examining prepubertal children and adolescents, physical findings and their significance, documentation and conclusions, and a full day of interactive skill stations.
 
COMPLETION OF ON-LINE PRE-REQUISITES WITH A PASSING RATE OF 80 % OR BETTER ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO ATTENDING CLASSROOM TRAINING TO RECEIVE TRAINING CERTIFICATES.
