National Depression Screening Day is Thursday
The Calgary Counselling Centre is offering a two-minute anonymous (and free) screening test to recognize National Depression Screening Day on Oct. 5. The test does not offer a diagnosis, but points out the presence or absence of depressive symptoms and offers a referral for further evaluation if needed. Take the test here.

Facilities management recycling campaign
The environment is important to us — and so is saving money. Facilities Management is beginning a campus-wide campaign focused on recycling and energy conservation to reduce our environmental footprint and save us potentially tens of thousands of dollars per year. Massage Therapy case study clients needed
Mount Royal University’s Massage Therapy diploma students are seeking participants for its case study course, which is designed to provide an opportunity for students to understand the effects massage therapy may have on symptoms from various conditions or pathologies. Wellness welcomes new sports medicine physician for Cougars hockey players and Mount Royal staff
Dr. Alin Cristurean is MRU's varsity hockey teams' sports medicine physician. His new medical practice in Optimal Therapy is primarily to support varsity athletes with priority appointments, however his practice is open to all MRU and public members needing to see a sports medicine specialist. Dr. Cristurean will see patient referrals from Health Services physicians, Optimal Therapy practitioners and community physicians. More about Optimal Therapy.

Start of semester emails, with option for distribution list sign up

As each semester begins (Aug./Sept. and Dec./Jan.), areas with ongoing employee activites can send an email to all employees describing their semester activities. Employees can then choose to opt in to that area's distribution list (Google Group), for regular updates. If you would like to send an email and/or set up a Google group for your area, please contact Marketing and Communications for procedures.
