Library moving dates
The current Library will be closed from June 22 to 25, reopening in the Riddell Library and Learning Centre June 26. The physical collection will be unavailable from June 10 to 25. All need-to-know dates and information for the move have been posted at mru.ca/WeAreMoving.
Busy several weeks for Facilities Management
Facilities Management's in-house teams will begin moving people into the new Riddell Library and Learning Centre June 12 and continuing for six weeks. Move requests may take up to two weeks to be completed.

Smart pill dispenser wins Best Presentation award at IST Africa Conference
At the recent IST (Information Systems and Technology) Africa Conference in Windhoek, Namibia, computer science professor Faith-Michael Uzoka and team took home one of two Best Presentation awards for their innovative smart pill dispenser. Read more.
Research delving in to history of Medieval Europe earns SSHRC Insight Development Grant
Humanities professor Emily Hutchison’s original research titled “Policing Late Medieval Paris” received a SSHRC Insight Development Grant in 2016. Currently in Paris carrying out archival work, Hutchison’s grant extends until June 2018. Read more.
Criminal justice alumnus invested into the Canada Order of Merit of the Police Forces
Travis Juska, who graduated from Mount Royal with a Bachelor of Applied Justice Studies (2006), was recently invested into the Canada Order of Merit of the Police Forces. A sergeant with the Calgary Police Service, Juska received a Member Award. Read more.

As each semester begins (Aug./Sept.) (Dec./Jan.), areas with ongoing employee activites can send an email to employees describing the semester's activities. Employees can then opt in to a distribution list, such as Google Groups, to get updates. Emails can be sent here.
